Zlin Design Week 2024 in a nutshell = focus on Service Design

The future of design will belong to those who can combine creativity with logical thinking and the ability to collaborate across different disciplines. This is the main message from experts from different spheres of design and innovation who took part in Zlin Design Week 2024. This was why I attend as a student this event for inspiration.

Service Design faces a number of challenges in the future that require a new approach to innovation. It is essential to focus on interdisciplinary collaboration, sustainability, inclusiveness and user well-being. The risks associated with over-reliance on technology and insufficient consideration of the human factor must be carefully managed. 

Zlin Design Week is an annual festival focused on design, creativity and innovation, held in the city of Zlín, known for its rich industrial heritage and innovative spirit. The event brings together students, professionals, designers and the general public from different parts of the world to share new ideas, trends and approaches to design.

The festival offers a variety of events including exhibitions, workshops, lectures and panel discussions where participants can learn about the latest trends and innovations in the industry. There is a particular focus on Service Design, which explores how design thinking can be applied to services and customer experiences. Zlin Design Week thus brings participants not only inspiration and new knowledge, but also opportunities to network with industry professionals and develop their own projects.
